A global energy solutions provider in Zamudio is looking for an On Site Services Specialist to enhance customer support and field service performance. In this role, you will lead technical activities, ensure optimal equipment performance, and provide training and guidance to customers. Candidates should hold an engineering degree, be willing to travel frequently, and be fluent in both English and Spanish to excel in this position. Join us in making energy sustainable and reliable.

Formación

What impact you’ll make

As an On Site Services Specialist within the Service Operations Team, you will actively contribute to delivering exceptional customer support and continuously improving field service performance. Reporting directly to the Services Leader, you will provide Application Engineering expertise and perform Field Service activities to ensure optimal equipment performance, customer satisfaction, and alignment with business objectives.

Job Description

What you’ll do

• Carry out commissioning activities for Protection, Control, Substation Automation Systems, and Industrial Communications.
• Serve as the main technical resource on site, leading problem resolution and providing technical direction to field teams.
• Perform Protection and Control engineering consulting: relay setting calculations, configuration of control units/gateways, coordination and selectivity studies, and short-circuit analysis.
• Ensure full compliance with EHS regulations and promote a strong safety culture during all field activities.
• Deliver customer training and provide installation and service guidance.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and internal teams (engineering, manufacturing, sales) to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare accurate, timely, and professional internal and external reports.
• Conduct, audit, and implement quality controls during field activities to ensure high standards and customer satisfaction.
• Support continuous improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance processes and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Degree in Engineering (any discipline), preferably in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or equivalent professional training in the electrical/electronic field.
• Willingness to travel an average of 150–160 days per year.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Valid work permit within the European Union.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Previous experience as a Project, Product, System, or Testing Engineer, preferably in the same industry.
• Experience with electrical protection relays and control systems (LV, MV, HV); project and power plant experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of other languages such as French, Italian, German, and/or Russian will be a plus.
• Based in Bilbao or surrounding areas is preferred.
