Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Spain is seeking a Server & Virtualization Engineer for Madrid on a hybrid basis. You will manage server lifecycles, deploy updates, monitor hardware with remote tools, and support VMware and Nutanix environments.

The role requires 5+ years in a similar role, hands-on with iLO/iDRAC/XClarity, Linux/Windows servers, and fluent English. TCS offers a permanent contract, competitive salary, and strong career development in a multinational setting.

• Hands-on with virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix).
• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server environments.
• Basic understanding of physical server infrastructure and troubleshooting.
• Fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Manage server lifecycles: deployment, updates, and decommissioning per process.
• Monitor and administer server hardware via remote management tools; review alerts/logs.
• Support virtualization environments including VM deployment and basic cluster ops (HA/DRS).
• Provide incident troubleshooting, vendor case management, and basic RCA.
• Ensure security practices in user access control and contribute to improvements.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Manage the server lifecycle, including deployment, updates, and decommissioning, following standard processes and documentation.

Monitor and administer server hardware using remote management tools (iLO, iDRAC, XClarity), including reviewing alerts and logs.

Support and manage virtualization environments (VMware, Nutanix), including VM deployment, administration, and basic cluster operations (HA, DRS).

Provide technical support by troubleshooting incidents, managing vendor support cases, and performing basic root cause analysis (RCA).

Ensure adherence to basic security practices, including user access control.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, process documentation, and support basic automation and hardware maintenance activities.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Years' experience: minimum 5 years in a similar role
• Experience working with servers remotely (ILO, iDRAC, XClarity, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix)
• Strong knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server environments
• Basic understanding of physical server infrastructure (rack-mounted systems, components)
• Ability to perform hardware validation and basic troubleshooting
• Fluent English
