Job summary

Ubisoft Barcelona is seeking a seasoned UX Designer to shape player experiences for Rainbow Six Siege. You will design intuitive, scalable UX that supports both new and veteran players, collaborating with game designers, UI artists, product owners, and developers.

You will advocate for player needs, translate complex systems into clear interactions, and contribute to design systems and guidelines across the Siege ecosystem, mentoring junior designers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional UX design experience in gaming.
• Experience designing in-game UX including HUD/UI, onboarding, tutorials, and gameplay mechanics support.
• Proven experience designing complex digital products, live-service games, or multiplayer experiences.
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end UX design process and measurable impact.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Solid understanding of usability, accessibility, and interaction design best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end user journeys for game areas owned by Barcelona studio.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, information architectures, and interaction models.
• Collaborate with Game Design, UI Art, Engineering, Data Analytics, and Production teams to deliver high-quality player experiences.
• Advocate for player needs and usability throughout the development process.
• Translate complex systems into clear and intuitive interactions.
• Leverage player research, analytics, usability testing, and community feedback to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to UX guidelines, design systems, and best practices across the Siege ecosystem.
• Mentor junior and mid-level UX designers, providing feedback and design leadership.
• Present design solutions and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
