Job summary

Synopsys is seeking a senior specialist to lead pre-sales engagements in power electronics across EMEA. You will run discovery sessions, demos, and proofs-of-concept, performing detailed thermal simulations with Ansys Discovery/Fluent/Icepak and translating customer needs into actionable strategies.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to sales content, and collaborate with product teams to guide feature development based on real-world feedback.

Qualifications

BS/MS/PhD in a relevant engineering field.
Hands-on experience with multiple Ansys thermal products (Discovery/Fluent/Icepak) and thermal-structural workflows.
Strong grounding in heat transfer (conduction, convection, radiation) and electronics cooling.
Experience with power electronics hardware (e-motors, batteries, fuel cells, inverters) and cooling methods.
Proficient in Python, IronPython, or C++ for automation.
Excellent English communication; ability to travel O(25%) in EMEA.

Responsibilities

Lead technical pre-sales engagements for power electronics accounts across EMEA.
Run discovery sessions, product demos, benchmarks, and proofs-of-concept.
Perform detailed thermal simulations on E-motors, batteries, fuel cells, and inverters using Ansys tools.
Translate customer requirements into actionable simulation strategies and business outcomes.
Mentor application engineers and contribute to sales enablement content.
Collaborate with product teams to translate field feedback into feature requests.
Document findings from pre-release thermal software and provide feedback.
