Cognizant is looking for a Senior Tester to lead the quality assurance for a Teradata-to-Snowflake migration project. This role requires extensive ETL and data warehouse testing experience, along with strong SQL skills in Snowflake and Teradata.

You will define test strategies, build test plans, and mentor junior testers. This is a senior client-facing position, offering the chance to work with the latest technologies while enjoying flexible remote work options within Spain.

Formación

• Extensive ETL and data warehouse testing experience on large-scale migration programmes.
• Strong SQL skills across both Snowflake and Teradata environments.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC or PowerCenter.
• Deep expertise in schema mapping, datatype conversions, SCD handling and star schema validation.
• Defect management and reporting using JIRA and/or HP ALM.

Responsabilidades

• Define the overall test strategy for the Teradata to Snowflake migration.
• Create, maintain and execute test plans for ETL pipelines.
• Validate transformations, mappings, business rules and referential integrity.
• Lead parallel run and cutover readiness testing activities.
• Mentor and guide junior testers within the team.

Conocimientos

ETL and data warehouse testing experience

SQL skills across Snowflake and Teradata

Informatica IDMC or PowerCenter experience

Data migration testing expertise

Experience with Snowflake on Azure

Full test lifecycle ownership

Defect management using JIRA/HP ALM
