Job summary

Hispasat is seeking a highly experienced professional to join the New Programs department to drive innovative space programmes and infrastructures, spanning Moonlight, LEO/MEO satellites, and in-orbit services. You will assess and implement state-of-the-art technologies from definition to launch and commercialization.

You will manage projects across European and international levels, coordinate with partners, and develop proposals for ESA and EC opportunities while contributing to new space

Qualifications

• Master’s degree MSc in Telecommunications Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Physics.
• 3+ years of experience in space programmes as prime or subcontractor.
• Knowledge of emerging space programmes and initiatives (Moonlight, in-orbit services, space data centers, cloud/AI in space, quantum/optical tech).
• High level of English (C1).
• Knowledge of satellite and space program manufacturing & integration at system/subsystem/equipment level.
• Experience managing space programs at European and national levels (ESA/EC).
• Ability and innovative spirit to propose new ideas on state-of-the-art products.
• Proactive, team player with strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Project management, contractual management, planning, and technical solution contributions in European and international projects.
• Prepare project documentation and participate in technical reviews throughout the lifecycle.
• Prepare and manage proposals for ESA and EC opportunities with partners and subcontractors.
• Oversee design, development, and integration of space systems and payloads.
• Evaluate tech alternatives at system level, balancing cost, complexity and performance.
• Monitor developments in space technologies relevant to future satellite infrastructures.
• Identify and develop future technology programs for satellite infrastructure.
• Prepare presentations for workshops/meetings and support periodic reporting.
