One of our partner companies is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Nivoda Capital in Spain.

You will play a key role in developing credit decision-making and risk management systems, helping customers improve cash flow while minimizing risk. Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams, you will translate business needs into innovative technical solutions for a global B2B platform. Accountabilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for credit risk and transaction monitoring.
2. Lead technical projects and architecture decisions within the Capital Risk team.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, data, and engineering to define technical requirements.
4. Write clean, maintainable code and enforce best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
5. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues efficiently.
6. Provide technical mentorship and support to junior engineers.
7. Ensure system performance, reliability, and security across all applications.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of backend development experience, primarily with Node.js and Postgres or similar RDBMS.
2. Strong understanding of JavaScript backend ecosystems and libraries.
3. Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
4. Solid knowledge of system architecture and design patterns.
5. Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
6. Experience with credit, underwriting, or risk systems is highly advantageous.
7. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
8. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
