Job summary

Indra Space is seeking an experienced Space Systems Architect to lead the specification, architecture and validation of end-to-end satellite systems for LEO missions. The role involves designing scalable software and hardware interfaces, data architectures and HMIs, with a strong focus on containerized deployments and DevOps practices.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in systems design, experience with Linux, Java, SQL/NoSQL, and modern data technologies, plus proficiency with Jira/Confluence

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems specification, architecture and validation.
• Proficient in Linux development with Java and SQL database design.
• Experience designing HMIs and data-centric architectures.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent containers orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases and big data technologies (Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, OpenSearch).
• Strong requirements gathering and ability to define architecture from scratch or extend legacy systems.
• Proficient in Jira and Confluence, Git and GitLab pipelines.

What are we looking for?

Must have:

Experience of 5 years at least in the following:

• Specification, architecture, design and validation acceptance for systems.
• Development in Linux using Java
• SQL Database design and deployment
• Design of HMI
• Usage and development with Docker using Kubernetes or other containers orchestrator
• CI CD or DevOps
• No SQL database design and deployment
• Knowledge and experience in new technologies like Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and parallelization platforms: Kafka, Hadoop, Spark, OpenSearch
• Competence in requirements gathering
• Capability of definition an architecture and design from scratch or based in legacy code
• Usage of Jira and Confluence
• Usage of Git and Gitlab with pipelines
