Wallbox Chargers, S.L. is seeking a Software Engineer Intern to work on EOL test software for production lines, engage with firmware and hardware teams, and develop automation tools to improve test efficiency on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with engineers across PLCs, sensors and MES/ERP interfaces, ensuring data integrity, traceability and scalable software practices while gaining exposure to plant infrastructure in Barcelona.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic/Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Advanced level of English.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, including design and architecture.
• Knowledge of Industrial OT/IT networks (PROFINET, MQTT).
• Advanced in at least one major programming language such as Python, C#, Java or C++.
• Experience with GitLab and GitHub.
• Proven experience developing test automation, data acquisition or control software for production lines or EOL test systems.
• Solid knowledge of communication protocols (Modbus, CAN, serial, TCP/IP, OCPP) and instrumentation/hardware.
• Experience with AI and automation tools (workflows).
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, databases and scalable systems.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, mentoring juniors.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop and maintain EOL test software and automated test sequences for production lines.
• Develop tools to enable standardized integration of new tests.
• Integrate test benches with instruments, PLCs, sensors, power equipment and DUT through industrial protocols.
• Ensure traceability by connecting test systems with MES/ERP and databases; build dashboards.
• Analyze test results and line performance to detect root causes and improve yield.
• Define and apply best practices for code quality, versioning, testing, CI/CD and deployment.
• Provide support for production incidents to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate in design/industrialization of new test stations and validation of NPIs.
• Document test procedures, architectures and maintenance guidelines.
