easyJet is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its CIAM-focused eCommerce platform in Barcelona. You will help shape authentication, identity lifecycle, federation and profile services across web, mobile and partner channels.

Join a hybrid Barcelona-based team to design, implement and own core CIAM features, while mentoring engineers and driving secure, scalable solutions in an Agile setup.

Formación

• Experience designing and delivering CIAM solutions (authentication flows, identity lifecycle, federation, consent, profile services).
• Strong frontend focus with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React/Next.js).
• Exposure to backend identity services, with test-first approaches (TDD) and automation.

As a Senior Software Engineer in our eCommerce team, you'll be a key contributor to our Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) platform - delivering secure, scalable authentication, authorisation, and profile management across web, mobile, and partner channels, and helping shape the future of easyJet's digital customer experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Design & Deliver

Design and implement CIAM solutions - authentication flows, identity lifecycle, federation, consent, and profile services - aligned to security, privacy, and scalability standards.

Own Key Features

Take ownership of core product features, ensuring they meet functional, performance, security, and availability requirements.

Champion Architecture

Contribute to CIAM architectures aligned with Mission-level patterns, championing data integrity, performance, and operational resilience.

Partner Across Teams

Work closely with the Technical Product Owner and Lead Software Engineer to define scope, maintain architectural integrity, and flag dependency risks.

Raise the Bar

Lead code reviews, uphold engineering best practices, and use metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvement in quality and reliability.

Mentor & Guide

Support the technical growth of engineers within your squad, sharing your CIAM and identity expertise.

What You'll Bring To The Team

• Hands-on CIAM experience with an identity platform (Ping, Forgerock, Google Identity, Microsoft Entra, Auth() etc), including authentication journeys, federation, token management, and API-based identity integration.
• Strong experience in Javascript/Typescript and/or modern front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript, Next.js etc), exposure to backend identity services, with a test-first approach including TDD and automated quality tooling.
• Broad expertise across cloud and commerce technologies covering infrastructure, and networking principles within distributed, high-performance systems.
• Deep understanding of CIAM security and compliance controls, including MFA, credential protection, secure session management, and privacy-by-design.
• Strong experience in CI/CD, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices, with practical experience delivering in Agile/squad-based environments.
