Job summary

Publicis Groupe in Madrid is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI Platforms team, shaping next‑generation products powered by Generative AI and cloud technologies.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our AI Platforms team, contributing to the design and development of next‑generation products powered by Generative AI, autonomous agents, cloud technologies, and large‑scale data platforms. This role combines hands‑on software engineering with technical leadership, mentoring junior developers and helping define the evolution of our architecture and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern full‑stack applications using TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Python.


• Build AI‑powered products leveraging LLMs, agent frameworks, MCP servers, and cloud‑native architectures.


• Design and implement scalable APIs, backend services, and integrations with internal and external platforms.


• Develop and maintain systems that support conversational AI, orchestration workflows, and agent‑based solutions.


• Work with data platforms including BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Redis, vector databases, and other analytical technologies.


• Participate in architectural decisions, technical design reviews, and technology evaluations.


• Lead code reviews and establish engineering best practices across the team.


• Mentor and support junior developers, contributing to their technical growth and day‑to‑day guidance.


• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, AI specialists, product owners, and business stakeholders.


• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, observability, security, and platform reliability.


• Drive software quality through automated testing, monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.


• Strong experience with TypeScript and modern backend or full‑stack development.


• Experience building applications with React and modern front‑end frameworks such as Next.js.


• Professional experience developing backend services using Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.


• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs and event‑driven architectures.


• Strong understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, scalability, and performance optimization.


• Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and analytical platforms such as BigQuery.


• Strong knowledge of Git‑based development workflows and code review practices.


• Experience mentoring developers and providing technical leadership within engineering teams.


• Solid understanding of Clean Code, SOLID principles, testing strategies, and software engineering best practices.


• B2 English level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Experience building AI‑native products using LLMs and generative AI technologies.


• Experience with agent frameworks such as Google ADK, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or similar.


• Experience working with MCP (Model Context Protocol) ecosystems and AI tool integrations.


• Experience with vector databases, RAG architectures, and semantic search solutions.


• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Firestore, or Vertex AI.


• Experience with FastAPI, Express.js, serverless architectures, and microservices.


• Experience with Redis, Celery, asynchronous processing, and distributed workloads.


• Knowledge of observability platforms, monitoring, logging, and production AI operations.


• Understanding of data governance, privacy, and AI security best practices.


• Experience in media, marketing, advertising technology, or data‑driven digital products.
