Wizeline is seeking an experienced backend architect to design and deliver scalable, cloud-based solutions. You will own system design decisions, emphasizing reliability, messaging, and performance across distributed services.

This role requires strong communication skills in English, hands-on experience with .NET/C#, and a track record of delivering production-grade architectures in cloud environments.

Formación

Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Trade-offs: Evaluate and articulate the trade-offs of asynchronous vs. synchronous communication, decoupling strategies, fault isolation, and scalability in distributed environments.
• Reliable Messaging & Data Consistency: Design and implement mechanisms that guarantee data consistency across distributed boundary lines (addressing challenges such as dual-writes, transactional integrity, and message handling guarantees).
• Resilience & Failure Recovery: Engineer robust fault-tolerance strategies beyond basic retries, ensuring systems gracefully handle partial failures, network partitions, and cascading outages.

2. System Design & Technical Communication

• End-to-End System Design: Lead system design initiatives for complex banking scenarios with minimal supervision—taking raw business requirements and turning them into scalable architectures.
• Visual & Verbal Clarity: Translate abstract concepts into structured architectural diagrams, presenting clear design rationales during technical refinements and discussions.

3. Software Delivery & Engineering Standards

• Production Code Quality: Write, maintain, and test high-throughput, secure backend applications using modern .NET / C#.
• Cloud & Platform Operations: Work with distributed cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and continuous delivery pipelines to ensure reliable deployments and system observability.
• Testing Strategies: Build comprehensive testing suites tailored for distributed systems, ensuring reliability across integration boundaries and asynchronous workflows.

Must-have Skills

• Distributed Cloud Systems: Strong overall experience engineering applications on modern cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP), with practical familiarity with containerization, cloud networking, infrastructure provisioning, and continuous integration/deployment.
• Asynchronous & Messaging Concepts: Deep practical understanding of distributed messaging systems, event streams, and the operational challenges of managing decoupled services.
• Language & Communication (Strict Requirement): English C1 (Fluent). You must be able to express technical ideas fluidly on the spot, navigate ambiguous architectural questions, and collaborate seamlessly in real-time technical refinements.

Nice-to-have:

• AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
• AI-Assisted Workflow: Practical experience integrating modern AI development tools into your daily workflow to optimize productivity.
