Job summary

The Flex in Bilbao, Spain, seeks a Senior Software Engineer specializing in backend development and data engineering to build scalable, data‑driven applications. You will own design, implementation, and optimization of backend services and data pipelines.

Collaborate with data scientists and engineers, work with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Spark, and cloud platforms, and design robust RESTful APIs. You’ll help shape the architecture and ensure performance and reliability in a fast‑moving, agile team.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software, backend, and data handling experience.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and Docker is a plus.
