Job summary

Syntegon Telstar seeks a Senior SOC Analyst to join the team at Terrassa (Barcelona). You will lead detection, triage, investigation, and response to complex security threats across endpoint, network, identity, cloud, and applications.

You will mentor junior analysts, improve SOC processes, and drive maturity of security operations while ensuring audit-ready records and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in a SOC or incident response role.
• Deep understanding of the incident response lifecycle with experience handling complex, multi-domain incidents.
• Strong knowledge of attacker TTPs, threat actor behaviour, and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Analytical skills across endpoint, network, identity, and cloud attack vectors.
• Familiarity with SOAR platforms and automated triage/response workflows.
• Understanding of threat intelligence concepts and how to apply them to detection and investigation.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead triage, investigation, and escalation of high-severity security alerts across domains.
• Drive end-to-end incident response and produce root cause analysis with remediation recommendations.
• Conduct proactive threat hunts and translate findings into improved detection content.
• Leverage SOAR to refine automated response workflows and identify automation opportunities.
• Develop IR playbooks, runbooks, and SOPs for process improvements.
• Coach Tier 1–2 analysts and support training and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure incident handling meets compliance and maintain audit-ready records.
