Intellias is partnering with a Fortune 100, Midwest-based industrial manufacturer to modernize and expand cloud-based services and data products used by a global network of dealers, enterprise customers, and internal business units.

Our cross-functional teams deliver scalable APIs, event-driven services, and analytics pipelines that power quoting, ordering, asset telemetry, diagnostics, and lifecycle support for heavy equipment in the field.

Formación

• 5+ years designing and maintaining backend services in production.
• 10+ years software engineering experience, preferably in Java.
• 5+ years building distributed systems with Akka or Apache Pekko.
• 5+ years experience using AWS.
• Strong experience with event-driven distributed systems (Kafka, Kinesis, or equivalent).
• Strong experience with functional programming libraries (Cats, Cats Effect, or ZIO).
• Hands-on Docker expertise.
• Strong PostgreSQL and SQL query development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and automated deployment (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Experience designing and operating event-driven architectures and microservices.
• Experience working in Agile environments; strong architecture and ownership mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala.
• Build reliable event-processing, notification, and integration services.
• Develop APIs and distributed components for highly available environments.
• Deliver scalable, fault-tolerant solutions with business value.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and engineering decisions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support integration, testing, and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain high software quality through testing, reviews, and documentation.
• Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in Agile environments.
• Own services throughout their lifecycle from design to production support.
• Overlap with US Central Time (CT) for 6 hours, practicing work until 2 PM CT / 9 PM Spain time.
