Open Cosmos is seeking a Senior Access Layer Engineer to lead the implementation and validation of satellite air interface. You will develop and optimize PHY and MAC layer functionality, ensuring robust performance in LEO environments. Your expertise in 3GPP NR standards and simulation tools will be crucial as you collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• Strong capability in wireless PHY and MAC layer design within satellite or high-performance communication systems.
• Deep understanding of L1/L2 protocols including random access, scheduling, timing advance, and resource allocation.
• Strong knowledge of 3GPP NR standards and familiarity with DVB-S2X.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and optimize PHY and MAC layer functionality for satellite communication systems.
• Design algorithms to mitigate LEO-specific challenges.
• Build and maintain link-level simulation environments.
• Support waveform and numerology definition aligned to standards.
