EPAM Systems in Madrid is seeking a Senior SAP Basis Admin to install, configure, and manage SAP environments including S/4HANA and BW. You will optimize performance, ensure security, and support complex projects in a regulated, financial services setting.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience, Unix/Linux and Windows administration, and strong English communication. Hybrid work with opportunities for professional certification and ongoing learning.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on SAP Basis Administration experience.
• Experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA and related products.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux and Windows system administration.
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and cloud connectors (BTP).
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP Authorization concepts.

We're looking for a Senior SAP Basis Admin to join our team in Madrid, Spain in a hybrid working mode. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and ongoing management of SAP environments, including S/4HANA and BW systems. You will ensure system stability, performance optimization, and security, collaborating with functional and technical teams to support complex projects and critical business processes for a leading global wealth management organization.

This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge SAP technologies, manage high-availability systems, and contribute to digital transformation initiatives in a dynamic, highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems, including S/4HANA and BW
• Plan and implement SAP upgrades, patches, and enhancements
• Monitor and optimize system performance to maintain operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis-related issues in a timely manner
• Administer SAP BTP, including Subaccount and space management
• Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Design and deploy custom roles and composite profiles using PFCG and XAMS for security compliance
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all configurations, processes, and operational procedures
• Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to support SAP deployments and projects
• Ensure compliance with security policies, corporate standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP Basis Administrator
• Proven experience with SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and related SAP products
• Expertise in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments for system administration
• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and cloud connectors, including BTP management
• Knowledge of database administration, particularly Oracle and HANA
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and system performance tuning
• In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP Authorization Concepts
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a highly dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English

Nice to have

• Experience with XITING Authorization Management Suite (XAMS)
• Exposure to cloud platforms integrated with SAP landscapes
• Familiarity with IT compliance and audit requirements in financial services
