Job summary

maxon is seeking a Senior Salesforce Frontend Engineer to design and build modern frontends inside the Salesforce ecosystem from its Barcelona hub. You will shape user experiences for global Sales and Marketing platforms, balancing performance, usability and business value.

You’ll collaborate with backend developers, architects and stakeholders in Barcelona and Switzerland, delivering robust UI components, scaling across Lightning and Commerce Cloud storefronts.

apeirum is recruiting on behalf of maxon for a Senior Salesforce Frontend Engineer in Barcelona. This is a permanent position employed directly by maxon; apeirum runs the selection process.

As Senior Salesforce Frontend Engineer you design and build modern, scalable and user-friendly frontends in maxon's Salesforce ecosystem. You shape the user experience of maxon's global Sales and Marketing platforms, with a strong focus on performance, usability and business value, and you work closely with backend developers, architects and business stakeholders in Barcelona and Switzerland. Hybrid in Barcelona (3 days office, 2 remote).

Tasks

• Develop and maintain frontend components and interfaces in Salesforce, mainly with Lightning Web Components (and Aura where needed).

• Build and customise user interfaces across Experience Cloud, Commerce Cloud storefronts, Lightning App Builder and screen flows.

• Connect frontend components to Apex services and external APIs, with a clean separation between UI and business logic.

• Turn business requirements into intuitive, high-quality UI/UX within the platform's capabilities.

• Make applications fast, responsive and cross-browser compatible.

• Contribute to design systems and reusable components for consistency across applications.

• Take part in code reviews, testing and deployments, and keep improving existing frontend solutions.

• Use AI coding assistants responsibly to speed up development, reviewing every output for correctness, security and maintainability.

Requirements – must have

• 5+ years of frontend development, with substantial hands‑on work in Salesforce.

• Senior‑level experience with Lightning Web Components (or Aura / similar component frameworks).

• Strong Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience.

• Strong frontend fundamentals: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 and a component‑based mindset.

• Experience integrating frontends with Apex and external APIs.

• A structured, reliable and quality‑driven way of working, with ownership of your deliverables.

• Enjoy working in cross‑functional, international teams.

• Fluent English.

• Based in Spain (Barcelona).

Nice to have

• Experience Cloud, screen flows and Lightning App Builder.

• Design‑system work and reusable component libraries.

• Jest or other JavaScript testing frameworks; CI/CD for Salesforce.

• Salesforce certifications (e.g. JavaScript Developer I, Platform Developer I, B2C/B2B Commerce Developer).

• Spanish or German.
