FIS Capital Markets is seeking a Senior Risk Consultant to reinforce its European Professional Services team in Madrid. The role involves onsite and remote consulting in ALM, liquidity risk, and market risk for major financial institutions across Iberia and Europe.

You will manage projects, model banking data, and deliver training and documentation while traveling 10%–20%. Fluency in Spanish and English is required, FRM/CFA is a plus.

• Work experience ideally in Bank's Risk Management, Bank's Treasury, ALM, Risk Consulting, Implementation Consulting, or IT Consulting.
• Intellectual curiosity to absorb new concepts quickly and develop creative approaches to client problems.
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills for day-to-day project work.
• Willingness to travel 10% to 20%.
• Fluent Spanish and English are required.
• FRM/CFA or equivalent certificates are a plus.
• Experience with balance sheet management solutions is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide onsite and remote implementation consulting in Asset & Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management and Market Risk for financial institutions in Iberia and Europe.
• Analyse banking business, design solutions and manage your own projects.
• Perform client requirements workshops and create project definitions and plans.
• Model banking data to ensure high-quality input and calibrate risk models.
• Guide clients in data validation, reconciliation, system integration, and UAT.
• Deliver trainings and presentations and build client-specific documentation.
• Deliver functional and technical project leadership, managing multiple projects in parallel.
• Stay updated on regulatory reporting in balance sheet management and share know-how with the team.

To reinforce our consulting team in the Madrid office, we are looking for a Risk Consultant with strong functional expertise coupled with a passion for technology and strong analytical and communication skills.

What you will be doing

Provide onsite and remote implementation consulting in the field of Asset & Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management and Market Risk for leading financial institutions in the Iberia region and the rest of Europe.

You’ll have extensive responsibilities right from the start, to analyse banking business combined with designing solutions and managing your own projects.

As part of the delivery team:

• perform client requirements gathering workshops
• create project definition documents and project plans
• analyse, understand, and model banking data to ensure best quality input
• develop in-depth knowledge on bank’s Risk Management and how to calibrate and implement robust risk models
• guide and assist the clients in performing data validation and reconciliation, system integration and user acceptance testing
• deliver trainings and presentations
• build custom reports and draft client specific documentation

Manage and deliver functional as well as technical aspects of projects and handle multiple projects in parallel.

Stay up to date on the latest reporting requirements in the regulatory space of balance sheet management and share know-how with team members

What you will bring

Work experience ideally in Bank's Risk Management, Bank's Treasury, ALM, Risk Consulting, Implementation Consulting, or IT Consulting.

Your intellectual curiosity allows you to absorb new concepts quickly, think independently and develop creative and novel approaches to help our clients solve their problems.

Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills help you to cope with the demands of day-to-day business on projects.

Since we run a global business, a willingness to travel (10% to 20%).

Fluent Spanish and English are required

• FRM/CFA or equivalent certificates
• Working experience in Banks, Asset Liability Management or Risk Management divisions
• Knowhow of FIS Balance Sheet Manager
• Experience with using or implementing balance sheet management solutions from other vendors.
• Fluency in Portuguese, French, German are an asset.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is 40,230 - 65,000 EUR and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
