Nextpower is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations in Córdoba, Spain, focusing on ramp-up and ongoing quality oversight. You will work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to improve quality, reduce variation, and ensure robust processes.

The role involves monitoring quality performance, driving corrective actions, supporting production ramp-up, and ensuring compliance with Nextpower quality requirements; travel to CM facilities may be required.

Formación

• 12+ years of manufacturing or supplier quality experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.
• Experience with contract manufacturers or suppliers.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, 8D, and CAPA.
• Experience with ERP/MES/QMS and quality reporting systems.

Responsabilidades

• Establish CM quality requirements, control plans, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor CM quality across incoming, in-process, final, and end-of-line stages.
• Track FPY, RTY, defects, rework, DPMO, and process capability.
• Lead CM audits of processes, products, and manufacturing readiness.
• Review CM quality records, test data, NCRs, deviations, and release docs.
• Lead 8D, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and CAPA effectiveness reviews.
• Verify calibration, measurement systems, traceability, and inspection controls.
• Support supplier quality, NPI, pilot builds, and process validation.
• Ensure CM compliance with specifications and engineering changes.
• Drive standardization of quality checks, metrics, and corrective actions across sites.
• Report CM quality risks and improvement actions to leadership.
• Support customer audits and factory visits.

Job Description

Job Description Nextpower is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to support our operations in Spain, with a particular focus on the ramp-up and ongoing quality oversight of our manufacturing operations in Córdoba. In this role, you will work directly with suppliers and contract manufacturers (CMs) to improve quality, reduce process variation, and ensure robust and consistent manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in monitoring manufacturing quality performance, driving corrective actions, supporting production ramp-up, and ensuring compliance with Nextpower quality and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain CM quality requirements, control plans, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor incoming, in-process, final, and end-of-line quality performance.
• Track FPY, RTY, defects, rework, DPMO, and process capability.
• Conduct CM process, product, and manufacturing-readiness audits.
• Review CM quality records, test data, NCRs, deviations, and release documentation.
• Lead 8D, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and corrective-action effectiveness reviews.
• Verify calibration, measurement systems, traceability, and inspection controls.
• Support supplier quality, NPI, pilot builds, process validation, FAT, and production ramp-up.
• Ensure CM compliance with Nextpower specifications, procedures, engineering changes, and revisions.
• Drive standardization of quality checks, metrics, control plans, and corrective actions across sites.
• Report CM quality risks, performance, and improvement actions to Nextpower leadership.
• Support customer audits, factory visits, and quality reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 12 or more years of manufacturing quality or supplier quality experience.
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken), other European languages are a plus.
• Experience overseeing contract manufacturers or suppliers.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, 8D, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with ERP, MES, QMS, NCR, and quality-reporting systems.
• Strong communication, audit, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to CM facilities.
