Nextpower in Spain seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to oversee ramp-up and ongoing quality of Córdoba manufacturing. You will collaborate with suppliers and contract manufacturers to improve quality, reduce variation, and ensure robust processes.

Key duties include monitoring quality performance, leading corrective actions, audits, and ensuring compliance with Nextpower specifications. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project-management skills are essential; travel to CM facilities

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 12+ years of manufacturing quality or supplier quality experience.
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Experience overseeing contract manufacturers or suppliers.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, 8D, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with ERP, MES, QMS, NCR, and quality-reporting systems.
• Strong communication, audit, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to CM facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Establish CM quality requirements, control plans, inspection criteria.
• Monitor quality across incoming, in-process, final, end-of-line.
• Track FPY, RTY, defects, rework, DPMO, and process capability.
• Lead audits of CM processes and manufacturing readiness.
• Review CM quality records, NCRs, deviations, and release docs.
• Lead 8D, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and effectiveness reviews.
• Verify calibration, measurement systems, traceability, and controls.
• Support supplier quality, NPI, pilot builds, and ramp-up.
• Ensure CM compliance with specs and engineering changes.
• Drive standardization of checks and corrective actions across sites.
• Report CM quality risks and improvements to leadership.
• Support customer audits and factory visits.

Job Description

Job Description Nextpower is looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to support our operations in Spain, with a particular focus on the ramp-up and ongoing quality oversight of our manufacturing operations in Córdoba. In this role, you will work directly with suppliers and contract manufacturers (CMs) to improve quality, reduce process variation, and ensure robust and consistent manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in monitoring manufacturing quality performance, driving corrective actions, supporting production ramp-up, and ensuring compliance with Nextpower quality and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain CM quality requirements, control plans, inspection plans, and acceptance criteria.
• Monitor incoming, in-process, final, and end-of-line quality performance.
• Track FPY, RTY, defects, rework, DPMO, and process capability.
• Conduct CM process, product, and manufacturing-readiness audits.
• Review CM quality records, test data, NCRs, deviations, and release documentation.
• Lead 8D, root-cause analysis, CAPA, and corrective-action effectiveness reviews.
• Verify calibration, measurement systems, traceability, and inspection controls.
• Support supplier quality, NPI, pilot builds, process validation, FAT, and production ramp-up.
• Ensure CM compliance with Nextpower specifications, procedures, engineering changes, and revisions.
• Drive standardization of quality checks, metrics, control plans, and corrective actions across sites.
• Report CM quality risks, performance, and improvement actions to Nextpower leadership.
• Support customer audits, factory visits, and quality reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 12 or more years of manufacturing quality or supplier quality experience.
• Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken), other European languages are a plus.
• Experience overseeing contract manufacturers or suppliers.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, 8D, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with ERP, MES, QMS, NCR, and quality-reporting systems.
• Strong communication, audit, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
