Job summary

Ultralytics is hiring a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to strengthen our testing of the Ultralytics Platform and YOLO workflows. You will design automated test suites for backend services, web UI, and APIs using TypeScript and Playwright.

You will own frontend end-to-end testing strategies, write API tests for Next.js routes, and ensure data integrity across MongoDB-backed pipelines. Join a fast-paced team, mentor others, and contribute to CI/CD improvements with GitHub Actions in a Turborepo

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in QA, test automation, or software engineering.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python.
• Deep expertise with Playwright for browser automation and end-to-end testing.
• Strong API testing, backend integration testing, and server component testing patterns.
• Experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, serverless deployments (Vercel), and cloud infra (GCP).
• Proficiency with GitHub Actions, CI/CD, test gating, and pipeline optimization.
• Experience in monorepo environments with Turborepo and Bun.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and database testing strategies.
• Proven ability to establish testing standards and mentor teammates.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing and maintaining automated test suites for backend services, web UI, and APIs.
• Lead end-to-end and browser-based testing strategy for frontend using Playwright Test.
• Write and maintain API/integration tests for Next.js API routes and server components.
• Validate data integrity across workflows touching MongoDB and training pipelines.
• Own test infrastructure within CI/CD using GitHub Actions and improve reliability.
• Establish testing patterns across a Turborepo monorepo with multiple apps.
• Mentor junior engineers on testing strategies and code review.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to internal QA docs, test plans, and release readiness checks.
