Merlin Digital Partner represents a fast-growing HealthTech partner seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Python) to design backend systems, cloud infrastructure and APIs powering connected health technologies.

You will work closely with Product, AI, Embedded and Frontend teams, taking ownership from architecture to production. The role involves hybrid office attendance (4-3 days a week) in Catalonia, with a focus on scalable, secure software that supports health platforms.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with modern Python backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django or similar).
• Solid experience designing, developing and maintaining REST APIs.
• Experience designing scalable software architectures and contributing to architectural decisions.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience deploying and operating applications on cloud platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Sentry or Celery.
• Strong software engineering practices including testing, maintainability and code reviews.
• Excellent debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Professional English level.
• Disponibilidad para acudir a oficinas 4-3 días a la semana.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services primarily using Python.
• Build and evolve REST APIs powering web, mobile and IoT applications.
• Design and optimize databases, data models and system integrations.
• Develop cloud-native services with reliability and performance.
• Contribute to cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines and monitoring.
• Improve platform performance, observability and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, AI, Embedded and Frontend teams on new features.
• Participate in software architecture and design decisions.
• Provide code reviews and mentoring to other engineers.
