UNHCR in Ceuta seeks a Senior Protection Assistant to monitor protection standards, liaise with local authorities and support PoC in a rapidly evolving border context. You will provide protection support to information management and programme staff and help mainstream protection in operational responses.

The role requires field presence, case management, and coordination with partners to ensure access to rights, durable solutions, and safe, dignified assistance for those in need.

Formación

• Experience with international protection guidelines and standards.
• Knowledge of international law and refugee protection principles.
• Experience working with refugees and protection-related processes.

Responsabilidades

• Apply UNHCR/IFRC standards and codes of conduct in protection work.
• Counsel PoC and liaise with authorities to issue documentation.
• Support AGD-based programming with partners.
• Conduct eligibility interviews and support status determination.
• Contribute to durable solutions and protection planning.
• Draft reports and maintain relevant databases.
• Monitor SOPs and participate in case management (GBV/child protection).
• Identify risks and communicate with supervisors.
