GE Vernova in Barcelona, Spain, seeks a Senior Operations & Program Manager to lead the PMO team, manage program schedules, budgets and risks across multiple subsystem programs, and ensure delivery excellence.

You will collaborate with engineering leadership to shape vision and strategic priorities, support demand planning, and drive standardized processes with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and outcomes. Relocation may be required.

Responsabilidades

  • Own program schedule and budget, including development and maintenance, for small to large sized programs with varying degrees of complexity within the portfolio or area of responsibility.
  • Identify, make visible and analyze program risks throughout the program lifecycle; demonstrate effective mitigation and problem-solving to meet and exceed expected program outcomes.
  • Support platform PMO with subsystem level planning and program management; including detailed scheduling and execution of deliverables and milestones within the subsystem.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to support the development of vision, MGPP and strategic priorities for the subsystem or area of responsibility.
  • Manage full portfolio of projects within subsystem or area of responsibility. Identify priority conflicts and deliverable misses early; communicate and work with the subsystem team to define a recovery plan.
  • Lead and/or support Engineering Daily Management operating rhythms serving as the primary liaison between subsystem and platform PMO & Systems.
  • Develop understanding of what it takes to get work done within the subsystem using performance data; develop schedule templates and models to improve demand planning estimates.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Leaders, Functional Managers and Business Leaders concerning program status and decisions.
  • Work with planner/schedulers to create and update project schedules in P6 Primavera.
  • Assure proper documentation of data generated for the assigned projects and tasks.

Job Description Summary

The Senior Operations & Program Manager will operate within the Subsystem Program Management & Operations (PMO) team responsible for providing operational leadership, program & portfolio management that enable the ONW Engineering Subsystems to achieve top business priorities and execute programs with excellence. High levels of judgement, risk balancing/mitigation, program planning and problem solving are required to achieve outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Own program schedule and budget, including development and maintenance, for small to large sized programs with varying degrees of complexity within the portfolio or area of responsibility.
  • Identify, make visible and analyze program risks throughout the program lifecycle; demonstrate effective mitigation and problem-solving to meet and exceed expected program outcomes.
  • Support platform PMO with subsystem level planning and program management; including detailed scheduling and execution of deliverables and milestones within the subsystem. Maintain regular communication with platform PMO to relay status, risks and negotiate changes or solutions to issues.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to support the development of vision, MGPP and strategic priorities for the subsystem or area of responsibility.
  • Manage full portfolio of projects within subsystem or area of responsibility. Identify priority conflicts and deliverable misses early; communicate and work with the subsystem team to define a recovery plan whenever possible and elevate to platform PMO with the issue can’t be resolved within the subsystem.
  • Lead and/or support Engineering Daily Management operating rhythms serving as the primary liaison between subsystem and platform PMO & Systems for identifying, communicating and resolving priority and resources conflicts that risk successful execution of key business priorities. Active participant and leader in the subsystem daily management.
  • Support engineering mid to long term strategic planning efforts by 1) providing clarity on program scope, requirements and deliverables to enable effective demand planning for assigned programs 2) supporting subsystem resource demand planning & SW&L estimations.
  • Develop an understanding of what it takes to get work done within the subsystem(s) using current and past performance data; develop schedule templates, basis of estimate models (effort and duration) and other means of improving efficiency and quality of demand planning estimates.
  • Communicate regularly, accurately and transparently with Project Leaders, Functional Managers and Business Leaders concerning program status, project issues and decisions.
  • Work with planner/schedulers to create and update project schedules in P6 Primavera.
  • Assure proper documentation of data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Drive simplification and standardization of work and best practices into engineering product development, operations, program execution and validation processes.
  • Work with other program managers within the team and across departments, assess gaps and develop standard work, training, foster a learning and collaboration environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Program Management, Engineering or Operations.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
