N26 is seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Banking Scalability Platform to lead the core banking transformation and build a scalable, compliant, API-driven infrastructure. You will work across Treasury, Ops and Finance to enable rapid product launches while maintaining robust data flows.

The role requires 5+ years in product management within FinTech or core banking, strong API and architecture literacy, and the ability to drive cross-functional execution in an agile environment.

About the opportunity

We are seeking a passionate Senior Product Manager - Banking Scalability Platform to join the Core Systems team in disrupting the Core Banking technology standards with highly configurable, modular and automated solutions that enable rapid product launches along with automated compliance and data flows. The Core banking Group is split between our Barcelona and Berlin offices, which are the main product & tech hubs for N26 globally.

As a Product Manager in the Banking Scalability Platform team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure of N26 that relates to Treasury, Ops and Finance. This function is critical to N26's ability to not only provide our current functionality but to also offer new financial products in a competitive and scalable manner.

In this role you will:

• Drive core banking transformation: Lead the strategic implementation and seamless integration of our next-generation Core Banking engine within N26's global architecture.
• Translate complex banking domains into scalable infrastructure: Architect robust platform requirements that balance intricate core banking processes, strict compliance and regulatory environments, and long-term operational efficiency.
• Own the platform roadmap end-to-end: Shape the product vision, proactively identify market and technical opportunities, and make high-stakes prioritization decisions to maximize scalability and resilience.
• Align organization-wide stakeholders: Partner with cross-functional leadership across N26 to define ambitious team goals, manage dependencies, and drive collective success.
• Foster cross-functional platform excellence: Collaborate deeply with engineering, architecture, product, and design teams to continuously elevate the capabilities of N26's core banking infrastructure.
• Lead build-buy-partner evaluations: Play a pivotal role in formulating our build-buy-partner strategy, evaluating enterprise banking engines, and embedding the chosen solution into our broader technical ecosystem.
• Orchestrate high-stakes product rollouts: Mitigate risk and ensure flawless execution by coordinating launch readiness across local market teams, legal, compliance, operations, and engineering.

What you need to be successful:

• Deep Domain Expertise: 5+ years of Product Management experience, ideally gained within a FinTech, tier-1/2 banking environment, or with a core banking software provider.
• Architectural Literacy: Strong hands-on experience with banking or payments architecture frameworks, ledger systems, and designing robust API-driven products.
• AI-Forward Workflows: High level of AI literacy, with a track record of natively leveraging AI tools to optimize your product discovery, documentation, and operational workflows.
• Educational Background: University degree in a STEM field, Business, or Economics. An MBA, Master’s, or equivalent advanced technical degree is highly valued.
• Execution & Mindset: An autonomous, adaptive operator with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives in agile environments and possesses a relentless drive for structural innovation.
• Strategic Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to distill deeply complex technical banking concepts into clear narratives for executive stakeholders.
• Vendor & Partner Management: Proven track record of managing enterprise third-party vendors and navigating complex, high-stakes external provider relationships (a significant plus).
• Technical Acumen: Deep familiarity with modern technology stacks, infrastructure scalability, databases, and system dependencies, allowing you to partner seamlessly with senior engineering talent.
