Lord Search & Selection is helping to recruit two Senior/Principal Electrical Engineers for Barcelona or Madrid to lead the design and delivery of data centre and mission-critical infrastructure across Europe.

You will work with Architecture, Structures, Civil, and Sustainability teams, supervising delivery, mentoring engineers and ensuring compliance with REBT/CTE as projects progress.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical, Industrial or Energy Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 years' experience in electrical building services or industrial infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Spanish electrical regulations (REBT/CTE).
• Experience leading engineering teams for large-scale projects.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the electrical design of large-scale Data Centre and industrial projects from concept through construction.
• Produce electrical calculations, technical specifications and detailed engineering designs.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and oversee project delivery.
• Manage QA/QC processes, Health & Safety and project risk.
• Select and specify electrical equipment with a focus on resilience, reliability and energy efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with Spanish regulations (REBT, CTE and associated standards).
• Prepare and submit documentation to the Colegio de Ingenieros and local authorities.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the business.

Our retained client is expanding its engineering teams in Barcelona and Madrid and is looking for two Senior/Principal Electrical Engineers to lead the design and delivery of some of Europe's largest Data Centre and mission-critical infrastructure projects for global technology leaders and major industrial organisations.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected international engineering consultancy, working in close collaboration with its UK headquarters while delivering technically challenging projects across Europe.

The Opportunity

As the Electrical Lead, you will play a key role in delivering innovative, high-performance electrical engineering solutions from concept through to construction.

Working alongside multidisciplinary teams including Architecture, Structures, Civil Engineering and Sustainability, you will provide technical leadership while maintaining close relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of large-scale Data Centre and industrial projects from concept through construction.

About You

We're looking for experienced engineers who enjoy solving complex engineering challenges.

You will ideally have:

• Degree in Electrical, Industrial or Energy Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 years' experience in electrical building services or industrial infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Spanish electrical regulations (REBT/CTE).
• Experience preparing submissions for the Colegio de Ingenieros and local authorities.
• Previous experience delivering large-scale industrial, infrastructure or mission-critical projects.
• Data Centre experience is highly desirable-but not essential.
• Engineers from complex industrial sectors looking to move into Data Centres are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Fluent Spanish and English.
• Experience leading engineering teams and managing projects.
• Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks.
