Jobgether is seeking a senior Database Administrator based in Spain to own the reliability of mission-critical PostgreSQL systems powering a fast-scaling fintech platform. This hands-on role combines deep database expertise with architectural ownership, focusing on availability, performance, security, and automation.

You will collaborate with engineering and product teams, design scalable data infrastructure, implement observability, and drive IaC/CI/CD initiatives.

Formación

• 5+ years of PostgreSQL DBA experience in production environments.
• Expertise with high availability, replication, and backups.
• Strong Linux admin and cloud infrastructure experience (GCP).

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end reliability of PostgreSQL systems, including RPO/RTO targets.
• Design scalable architectures with partitioning, sharding, and capacity planning.
• Optimize performance via indexing, query tuning, and bottleneck resolution.
• Build backups, replication, and automation pipelines.
• Define observability with monitoring, SLIs/SLOs, dashboards.
• Collaborate with engineering to align schema and architecture.
• Lead automation via IaC and CI/CD practices.
• Set engineering standards and mentor peers.
• Participate in long-term data platform strategy.
