Axpo-Italia-Spa, an international energy company, is seeking a PostgreSQL specialist to serve as the main contact for PostgreSQL within the Database Services team, focusing on Azure configurations. You will define best-practice setups and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server solutions.

You will collaborate with Operations, Development and Business teams to resolve performance issues, drive monitoring, and contribute to improvements across the lifecycle. Hybrid work in Madrid with flexible hours.

Formación

• Extensive experience managing PostgreSQL environments, preferably on Azure.
• Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and high-availability solutions.
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server; exposure to Oracle.
• Familiar with DevOps, automation tools, or scripting (PowerShell).
• Strong analytical and communication skills; collaborative mindset.
• Fluent English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Be the main contact for PostgreSQL topics within Database Services.
• Define and improve best-practice configurations for PostgreSQL on Azure.
• Operate, support, and optimize PostgreSQL and SQL Server solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Development, and Business teams to resolve performance issues.
• Contribute to database improvements across the software lifecycle.
• Drive monitoring, alerting, and incident resolution to improve stability.
