SOMI Solutions GmbH is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our international team and manage a large-scale cloud backend platform. You will design and implement automation, improve reliability, and work with Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies in a hybrid work setup.

Expect to contribute to monitoring, networking, and operational tooling while collaborating in an agile environment and owning end-to-end reliability improvements.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a comparable technical qualification.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in IT with a strong focus on modern cloud technologies.
• Strong experience with: Linux systems and administration; Cloud infrastructure environments; Infrastructure automation; Network-related services.
• Very good understanding of: SDN; Routing concepts; Firewalls; Physical and virtual network infrastructure.
• Experience with automation tools such as: Ansible; Terraform.
• Knowledge of cloud-native technologies including: Docker; Containers; Kubernetes.
• Understanding of network protocols: BGP; DNS; SSH; HTTP/HTTPS.
• Experience working in agile development environments.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to design practical solutions.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Solve complex technical challenges in the daily operation of a large-scale cloud backend platform.
• Develop, improve, and maintain cloud infrastructure services with a strong focus on reliability and scalability.
• Work hands-on with infrastructure components, systems, and hardware-oriented environments.
• Design and implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Build and maintain monitoring, quality assurance, and operational tooling.
• Work with software-defined networking, routing, firewalls, and physical network environments.
• Improve platform stability through proactive troubleshooting and continuous optimization.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers in an agile and knowledge-sharing environment.
• Evaluate technical solutions and develop creative approaches to complex problems.
• Contribute to automation frameworks and modern infrastructure engineering practices.
