Neotalent Conclusion, a leading Iberian IT and engineering services provider, is seeking a Senior Planning and Cost Engineer to join its Madrid-based team. The role focuses on planning, cost management, and PMC oversight across the full project lifecycle for a global energy infrastructure client.

The candidate will develop schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project, monitor progress, and coordinate with clients, contractors and vendors to ensure milestones and quality requirements are met.

Formación

• Minimum 12 years experience across EPC phases: FEED to start-up.
• 8+ years in oil & gas with EPC project experience in gas processing facilities.
• 5+ years in related designation / specialty.
• PMC (Project Management Consultancy) project experience.
• Solid knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and procedures.

Responsabilidades

Role Overview:

One of our clients, a global engineering and technology company delivering complex energy infrastructure projects worldwide, is currently seeking a Senior Planning and Cost Engineer to join its Madrid-based team.

What you will do:

As part of the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team, the Senior Planning & Cost Engineer provides planning and cost management support throughout the project lifecycle. The position serves as the client's point of oversight, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders to ensure project milestones, timelines and quality expectations are achieved.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and project close-out phases.
• Monitor project progress and performance, analyze deviations against baseline plans, and prepare accurate progress reports, forecasts, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Review and oversee EPC contractor activities, including schedule performance, recovery plans, contractual compliance, and Extension of Time (EOT) claims assessment.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, delays, and bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions and supporting effective decision-making through data analysis and forecasting.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution, commissioning readiness, start-up support, and final project handover.

What you are like:

If you identify with the following requirements, we want to meet you!:

• Min 12 Years’ experience with EPC phases: FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up
• 8 Years minimum experience in oil and gas industries (Demonstrated EPC project experience in gas processing facilities))
• 5 Years minimum experience in related designation / specialty
• Working on EPC and PMC phases of major capital projects.
• Industry Sectors: Oil & Gas (Onshore) / Fabrication Yard / Petrochemicals & Refining / LNG facilities / Power plants (CCGT, thermal, renewable) /Large infrastructure / utilities
• Proven experience working on PMC (Project Management Consultancy) projects.
• Solid knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and procedures; candidates should be prepared to answer technical questions related to these standards during the interview process.
• Previous experience on Middle East projects, either through assignments based in the region or supporting projects remotely from an office or home-based location.
• Fluent English and native Spanish speaker.
• Valid work authorization for a 40-hour per week contract and legal residency in Spain.
• Availability for onboarding in September 2026 and willingness to work fully on-site in Madrid, Spain (100% office-based role).
