UST España & Latam in Madrid is seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join the Performance Test Services team. You will design, implement, execute, and analyze performance tests and synthetic monitoring to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of critical platforms.

Hybrid position in Madrid (3 days at client’s office, Sol area, next to the underground). You will work with developers, architects, product owners, and operations to improve testing frameworks and best practices.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing, engineering, automation, and software engineering.
• Proven experience designing and executing performance tests in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical skills and root-cause analysis approach.
• Experience developing performance and synthetic monitoring using Playwright.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and execute performance and load testing strategies for business-critical apps.
• Build and maintain synthetic monitoring to measure availability and user experience.
• Analyze test results and produce actionable reports with optimization recommendations.
• Identify bottlenecks across apps, APIs, infrastructure, and integrations.
• Support stakeholders in defining testing and monitoring strategies.
• Contribute to improving testing frameworks, automation, methodologies, and best practices.
• Ensure high-quality, scalable, maintainable test solutions throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

We are looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our Performance Test Services team. In this role, you will act as a technical expert and trusted advisor, helping internal teams ensure that applications and services meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, stability, and availability.

Working closely with developers, architects, product owners, and operations teams, you will design, implement, execute, and analyze performance tests and synthetic monitoring solutions that contribute to software quality and system resilience across critical business platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute performance and load testing strategies for business-critical applications.

Build and maintain synthetic monitoring solutions to proactively measure application availability and user experience.

Analyze test results and produce clear, actionable reports, including optimization recommendations.

Identify performance bottlenecks across applications, APIs, infrastructure, and integrations.

Act as a trusted advisor, supporting stakeholders in defining and implementing testing and monitoring strategies.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing frameworks, automation capabilities, methodologies, and best practices.

Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable test solutions throughout the software delivery lifecycle.

Mandatory requirements:

5+ years of hands‑on experience in:

• Performance Testing
• Performance Engineering
• Test Automation
• Software Engineering

Proven experience designing and executing performance and load testing within complex enterprise environments.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to root-cause analysis.

Experience developing performance and synthetic monitoring solutions using:

• Playwright

Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution using:

• Jenkins
• GitLab
• Bitbucket
• Similar platforms

Strong understanding of:

• APIs
• Networking concepts
• Cloud-native applications
• Performance engineering principles

Experience communicating technical findings and translating them into business-relevant insights.

Technical Skills

Playwright (Java, TypeScript)

Performance Testing & Monitoring Methodologies

Observability Concepts:

• OpenTelemetry
