Job summary

Playtomic is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer for the Payments team in Madrid. You will develop and maintain APIs and services to enable smooth frontend-backend communication and integrate third-party payment gateways to ensure secure transactions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions, optimize payment processing, and uphold high performance and code quality in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with payment gateway integrations and secure transaction processing required.
• Proven backend engineer with knowledge of web stack, APIs, and scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, Java, MongoDB, MySQL (Aurora) and Kubernetes preferred.
• Strong communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet timelines.
• Located in Madrid or able to travel to Madrid as needed.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities
