Job summary

NN Digital Hub in Madrid is seeking an experienced Node.js Backend Engineer to modernise our backend, automate processes, and drive integrations. You will join a cross-functional Agile team and help shape architecture, coding standards, and scalable solutions.

You will collaborate with engineers and maintainers, mentor colleagues, and contribute to future-proof bank and investment tech. The role offers a hybrid model and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development as a Node.js backend engineer.
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Excellent knowledge of integration patterns using REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and a DevOps mindset.
• Some knowledge of React is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Defining and evolving the architecture of our solutions.
• Developing and maintaining unified solutions incorporating coding standards.
• Proactively contributing to Savings, Investments and Bank Assurance’s strategic approach to ensure we are future-proof.
• Using software to create best-in-class automation and integrations.
• Collaborating with the Engineering Guild and facilitating community contributions.
• Taking responsibility as editor-in-chief through code reviews and final decision-making.
• Coaching and mentoring other engineers from our and other Domains.
