Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Network Security Engineer to join our security team, working alongside the team lead who owns security architecture. You will turn designs into working systems, building proofs of concept, infrastructure and internal tooling.

You will prototype quickly in Python, automate where it makes sense, and apply deep networking and Linux knowledge to secure the environment while bringing an attacker’s perspective to testing.

Qualifications

• Strong networking skills.
• Proficient Linux for building systems and tooling.
• Python proficiency for prototyping.
• Hands-on, practical approach over theory.
• Experience at a modern tech company, hyperscaler or cloud business.
• Senior-level experience; strong mid-to-senior considered.

Responsibilities

• Build proofs of concept, systems and tooling that form our security infrastructure.
• Implement security designs set by the team lead, taking them from idea to working solution.
• Prototype quickly in Python and automate where it makes sense.
• Apply deep networking and Linux knowledge to secure and harden the environment.
• Bring an attacker’s perspective to how systems are built and tested.
