Hamilton Barnes ? is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design and operate large-scale, low-latency data centre networks powering AI and HPC workloads.

You will work with spine-leaf architectures, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv6 and SRv6, while shaping infrastructure standards across Europe. This role offers ownership over infrastructure, advanced networking challenges, and a highly technical environment with a flat hierarchy.

Formación

• Strong experience designing and operating data centre or service provider networks within AI, HPC, GPU, cloud, hyperscale or high-performance infrastructure environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, deploy and support large-scale, low-latency data centre network fabrics powering AI and HPC workloads.
• Build and evolve EVPN/VXLAN spine-leaf architectures across high-performance GPU infrastructure.
• Develop and improve network automation and Infrastructure as Code from the ground up, helping establish scalable automation standards across the platform.
• Troubleshoot complex network performance, stability and availability issues across distributed AI and HPC environments.
• Work closely with systems, hardware and platform engineering teams to deliver new data centre deployments, optimise infrastructure and shape future network architecture.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll design and operate large-scale, low-latency data centre networks supporting some of the most demanding AI and HPC workloads in the industry. Working with modern spine-leaf architectures, EVPN/VXLAN, SRv6, IPv6 and network automation, you'll have the opportunity to influence architecture, standards and scalability as the business expands rapidly across Europe.

This is a highly technical, low-hierarchy environment where experienced engineers have real ownership over the infrastructure they build.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support large-scale, low-latency data centre network fabrics powering AI and HPC workloads
• Build and evolve EVPN/VXLAN spine-leaf architectures across high-performance GPU infrastructure
• Develop and improve network automation and Infrastructure as Code from the ground up, helping establish scalable automation standards across the platform
• Troubleshoot complex network performance, stability and availability issues across distributed AI and HPC environments
• Work closely with systems, hardware and platform engineering teams to deliver new data centre deployments, optimise infrastructure and shape future network architecture

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience designing and operating data centre or service provider networks within AI, HPC, GPU, cloud, hyperscale or high-performance infrastructure environments
• Hands‑on experience with EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, IPv6 and underlay/overlay networking
• Proven experience building network automation and Infrastructure as Code solutions from scratch using tools such as Python, Ansible or Terraform
• Strong understanding of high-performance, low-latency networking and the requirements of large-scale AI and HPC workloads
• Experience with modern networking technologies such as SRv6 and platforms from vendors including Juniper, Arista or Cisco
