Ebury is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer for our Valencia Hybrid setup. You will develop features and frameworks to empower product teams, maintaining a unified user experience for customers.

The role emphasizes ownership, curiosity, data-informed decisions, and collaboration across countries. Proficiency in React Native, Python, and AWS is valued, with on-call responsibilities and open-source collaboration.

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years with React Native.
• Experience with Python3, PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar modern languages/frameworks.
• Experience in fintech or financial services.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile apps to back-end services.
• Proficient with Git and code versioning tools.
• Knowledge of AWS, Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and databases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Valencia Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

Ebury is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to play a crucial part in our Mobile Platform team. In this role, you will be working on evolving our mobile app by developing features, services and frameworks to empower Ebury product teams to ship amazing features efficiently and independently while maintaining a unified, usable experience for our customers.

Responsibilities:

• React Native Mobile App Ownership: Oversee the app's entire lifecycle—design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with your team members, other engineers, product owners, data teams, and design to get the job done.
• In line with our 'You build it, you own it' philosophy, we expect you to take full ownership of the products you build, embracing both their development and ongoing maintenance.
• You care about providing a great experience to our customers and are driven to understand their needs and issues and how you can best address them.
• You have experience in developing complex web applications. We mainly work with Python, React, ReactNative & Typescript, but happy to consider other relevant experience.
• Since you will work side by side with colleagues from different countries, you will be able to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in English, both written and spoken
• We use Expo pipelines for the deployment of services and infrastructure. From time to time, you might need to contribute to it.
• You are adept at both constructing and managing services. As such, you should have proficiency in establishing standard APIs, incorporating monitoring systems and alerting services, along with a strong expertise in integrating external systems.
• Quality is important to us; we expect your code to be highly testable with good coverage.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, tools, and practices.
• The position will require being on-call.

About you:

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years with React Native
• Experience with Python3, PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Experience working in fintech or within the financial services industry.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• You take ownership of code quality, ensuring your work is testable and well covered with unit and integration tests.
• Knowledge of AWS, Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, and databases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
