Smadex SLU, a Barcelona-based advertising technology company, seeks a Senior Machine Learning/Staff Engineer to drive architecture and develop novel ML features across our platform. You will own end-to-end ML pipelines, influence production-grade algorithms, and work closely with data and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data science positions.
• Very strong coding ability: Python, Scala, Java.
• Proficiency in building high-performance algorithms in production.
• Proficiency in solving problems.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical significance tests).
• Experience in data mining and predictive modelling: deep neural networks, logistic regression, clustering and time series analysis models.
• Knowledge of Bitbucket/Git version tools.
• Experience working with SQL and data warehousing.
• Possesses excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Able to mentor other team members.
• Fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and own features, measuring performance and improving pipelines.
• Combine ML Scientist and Data Engineer responsibilities for scalable solutions.
• Research, design, implement and deploy full-stack data analytics and ML solutions.
• Work with Tech and Ops teams to address business issues.
• Tackle unique modeling challenges like extreme positive sample sparsity and labeling delays.
• Analyze data from diverse sources and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
