Dow Jones is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and maintain ML pipelines and infrastructure for both conventional and GenAI models. You will collaborate with data scientists to integrate LLMs and other models, and operationalize ML solutions in scalable, secure production systems.

You will work within the AI Engineering Team on cloud deployments, model tuning, and data processing at scale, ensuring robust, maintainable systems and strong software engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related STEM field.
• 2–4 years of industrial experience in ML engineering, data science or data engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python or similar language.
• Experience with NLP frameworks and libraries (PyTorch, HuggingFace, spaCy, NLTK, scikit-learn).
• Experience in NLP data infrastructure: storage, indexing and retrieval systems.
• Proficiency with vector storage, indexing and graph databases in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes on cloud infrastructure.
• Git version control.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate ML models into AI/ML pipelines from preprocessing to deployment.
• Implement optimized data storage and indexing systems for NLP use cases.
• Develop tools and frameworks for model training, tuning and evaluation.
• Partner with teams to deploy models into production on cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor and improve model performance for accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot ML model issues.
• Build and maintain data processing pipelines for large data volumes.
• Document ML infrastructure and support processes.
• Stay updated on GenAI, NLP, ML and IR trends and best practices.
