Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Medical Director to provide strategic medical and scientific leadership across therapeutic areas, contributing to early customer engagement, proposal development, and bid defense. The role spans the R&D lifecycle and clinical trials, including independent customer solutions and thought leadership activities.

Required are a terminal MD degree, board certification, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or CRO settings, with at least 5 years

Qualifications

• MD degree required and board certification in cardiology, endocrinology, or nephrology.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in pharma or CRO.
• At least 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry with senior strategic responsibilities, obesity expertise highlighted.

Responsibilities

• Work independently of the therapeutic area head.
• Lead strategic proposal development with the proposal team.
• Participate in client proposal bid defense meetings as a leader, medical director and subject matter expert.
• Act as consultant throughout the R&D lifecycle and clinical trials; possibly as standalone solution.
• Formulate clinical development plans and drive group strategy for the Center of Excellence.
