Job summary

Voltrac Valencia is building an autonomous electric tractor to strengthen Europe’s agriculture and defence sectors. We are moving from prototype to high‑volume production and seek an engineer who can own projects from concept through prototyping, testing, and manufacturability.

You’ll collaborate with the founders and a multidisciplinary team across R&D, manufacturing, and QA, using CAD/FEA to develop robust designs, validate performance, manage suppliers, and lead field testing to scale

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience in hardware development taking designs from idea to reality.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset.
• Clear communicator with collaborative instincts in multidisciplinary environments.
• Experience working with welded parts, mechanical components, system architecture or fabrication appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD, FEA, and engineering calculations to develop robust mechanical designs.
• Perform analysis and testing to validate and optimise system performance.
• Interface with suppliers and manage procurement for prototyping and production.
• Work with electronics, mechatronics, and software teams to bring prototypes to life.
• Lead field testing and iteration of functional prototypes.
• Optimise tools, processes, and designs for production.
