Job summary

HP is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, develop and validate mechanical solutions for additive manufacturing systems. You will own subsystems from concept to release and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to balance performance, cost and schedule.

The role requires strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to drive projects with limited guidance. Expect to contribute to continuous improvement and mentor junior engineers in a global HP environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Typically 5–8 years of experience in mechanical product development for electromechanical systems or industrial equipment.
• Experience taking products or subsystems from concept through validation and release into production.

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical subsystem development from concept through design, prototyping, validation and release.
• Perform analyses, tolerance stack-ups and trade-off studies for technical decisions.
• Define, execute and analyze experimental plans to validate designs and investigate issues.
• Drive root cause analysis and implement robust engineering solutions based on data.
• Collaborate with multiple domains across the product lifecycle.
• Lead technical discussions and design reviews within the project team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering methodologies and design practices.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and peers.
