Celestica is seeking a Senior Engineer in Valencia to lead the mechanical development of ruggedized electronic systems. You will act as the focal point for design decisions and coordinate with international engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration of VPX 3U-based systems, thermal management, and MIL-STD-810 compliance.

Based in Spain, you will mentor a small local team, manage BOMs, and drive design validation plans while aligning with project milestones.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience for electronics packaging with team leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, mentor, and prioritize tasks for the local engineering team (2 engineers).
• Coordinate with Thailand-based team for subsystems integration and ensure alignment with milestones.
• Manage BOM and traceability for the system.
• Translate customer requirements into mechanical design constraints (thermal, structural).
• Oversee verification plans per MIL-STD-810/DO-160 and drive rugged packaging design.
• Lead the design of VPX 3U mechanical enclosure with IP65 sealing.
• Drive thermal solutions for high power density electronics and conduction cooling.
• Collaborate with System Engineer and Project Manager on progress and milestones.
