CHAMP Cargosystems seeks a Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to deliver timely financial support and forward-looking insights for its global business units. You will lead reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles while coordinating with Corporate Finance and Control functions.

The role requires 7–10 years in FP&A or controlling, strong accounting knowledge (IFRS), and excellent stakeholder management in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Management required.
• MBA or equivalent qualification desirable.
• Membership of a Finance/Accounting accreditation body desirable.
• 7–10 years of FP&A, business finance or controlling experience in a large multinational.
• Experience leading teams in an international environment.

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Location: Prague, Czech Republic or Barcelona, Spain

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis is responsible for providing timely and accurately financial support to the business area in charge of. The role provides key financial information, performance indicators as well as forward-looking business analysis to support the Business Unit or Solution Line long-term's strategy and growth. The role promotes financial excellence in serving the business by proactively engaging with Business Finance, Corporate Control and Corporate Finance colleagues, seeking and providing guidance / advice on relevant matters.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the financial support to the relevant business team by: Managing and controlling the period financial results (process, timelines, content); Delivering best-in-class suites for financial reports to the business; Managing the financial control and support of projects; Participating in monthly reviews with P&L and/or cost budget owners; Completing the monthly/quarterly forecast (at required level of granularity); Completing the budgeting process including the settlement of interlock reviews with relevant business owners and finance stakeholders; Actively participating in the 3 Year Business Plan and Product Portfolio preparation; Providing input for the quarterly board financial reporting - where applicable.
• Plays an active role in the revenue and/or expense management activities by: Signing-off the monthly revenue and expenses - for the applicable business area; Supporting the monthly/quarterly standard financial process related to revenue and expenses, in conjunction with Corporate and Regional finance functions.
• Performs Capital expenditure analysis and follow-up with the Business owners throughout the organisation.
• Confirm and validate the data integrity of the financial results by: Ensuring alignment between Statutory reporting and Management reporting results; Confirming IFRS and accounting policies compliance; Supporting the Audit activity; Playing an active role in the Balance Sheet control activity; Control of the depreciation bookings as established by Controlling.
• Plays an active role in the BAB process by: Participating in BAB submissions ensuring adherence to corporate governance; Providing input for the preparation of business cases; For centrally managed solution lines accountable for the preparation of business cases and validation of the financial profitability of the business cases to be presented; Providing financial modeling and pricing support during the preparation process of new contract proposal.
• Plays an active role in the product development and product profitability by providing financial support from evaluation to approval board for new product launch and confirming product profitability. Same applies for internal projects, services or solutions which trigger material expenses for the company.
• Is actively involved in the financial control activities including costs analysis ensuring alignment with capitalization best practices, with tax compliance activities, with corporate practices and standards.
• Provides support on key corporate and strategic programs.
• Defines, project-manages and delivers improvement plans or special projects to increase the overall quality of the business finance function.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Management Accounting
• Financial and Budget Control experience
• Proficient knowledge of Financial Systems (Competence in Office 365 and Oracle Suite)
• Knowledge of International Accounting standards - Quality control skills
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• High quality results orientation
• Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal

Education & Experience:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business Management
• MBA or equivalent qualification is desirable
• Membership of a relevant Finance/Accounting accreditation body is desirable
• 7 to 10 years of combined business finance, FP&A or controlling experience, preferably within a large international company with a matrix business structure
• People management in an international environment
• Interacting at senior management level
• Experience in delegation in particular exercising good judgement between personal involvement and delegation (zoom in/out)
• Ability to challenge and make recommendations for improvements
