Who We Are Is What We Do.

Deel is the all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams. Our vision is to unlock global opportunity for every person, team, and business. Built for the way the world works today, Deel combines HRIS, payroll, compliance, benefits, performance, and equipment management into one seamless platform. With AI-powered tools and a fully owned payroll infrastructure, Deel supports every worker type in 150+ countries - helping businesses scale smarter, faster, and more compliantly.

We're not just building software; we're creating the infrastructure for the future of work, enabling a more diverse and inclusive global economy. Your experience at Deel will be a career accelerator. At the forefront of the global work revolution, you'll tackle complex challenges that impact millions of people's working lives. With our momentum - backed by a $17.3 billion valuation and $1 B in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) in just over five years you'll drive meaningful impact while building expertise that makes you a sought-after leader in the transformation of global work.
The Senior Manager Data oversees multiple data teams (typically two teams), providing leadership across a broader scope. You'll ensure consistency in processes and outcomes across teams and bridge the gap between team execution and higher-level strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of two data teams, ensuring consistent processes, quality standards, and aligned goals across both teams.
  • Mentor team leads and senior team members in each team, fostering leadership skills and a culture of knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Serve as the primary decision-maker for projects spanning multiple teams, aligning decisions with product strategy and company objectives.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and negotiations, resolving conflicts and ensuring teams have the resources and alignment needed to succeed.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects across teams by overseeing iterative workflows and adjusting plans to meet multi-team deadlines.
  • Communicate key updates, progress, and risks across teams and upward to domain leadership, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.
  • Encourage collaboration not only within each team but also between teams, identifying opportunities for synergies and shared improvements.
  • Work with product and business stakeholders at a strategic level to ensure the output of all teams supports broader business goals, and advocate for data initiatives or changes when beneficial.
Qualifications
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coach multiple teams or team leads.
  • Exceptional communication skills to coordinate across teams and report to senior leadership.
  • Proficient in strategic planning and managing complex projects with interdependent teams.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and negotiation, able to handle resource trade-offs and align multiple stakeholders.
  • Broad understanding of the business and product strategy to guide teams’ direction, coupled with strong data domain expertise.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience managing teams (including managing multiple teams or larger groups).
