Generali España busca un/a Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer para un entorno IBM Z en Barcelona, Madrid o Bilbao. Será responsable de la estabilidad, disponibilidad, rendimiento y seguridad del IBM z/OS, gestión de IPLs, mantenimiento y upgrades, y coordinación con proveedores.

Se valora experiencia con SMP/E, PTFs/APARs, RACF y herramientas de automatización; se requiere buena capacidad de comunicación y fluidez en inglés.

Formación

• Experiencia en IBM zSystems/IBM Z, z/OS, SMP/E, IBM maintenance, PTFs y APARs, IBM/ISV software products, IPLs y maintenance windows.
• Experiencia en monitorización de rendimiento y capacidad.

Responsabilidades

• Instalar, configurar y mantener IBM z/OS y software relacionado.

Within the unit Mainframe Operation, we are looking for an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to join our Infrastructure team and ensure the stability, availability, performance, and security of our IBM Z environment.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Install, customize, maintain, and upgrade IBM z/OS operating systems.
• Perform system software installation, maintenance, and SMP/E software management.
• Install, configure, and support IBM and ISV software products.
• Manage system IPLs, maintenance windows, and planned infrastructure changes.
• Monitor system performance and capacity, identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Analyze and resolve complex system problems and production incidents.
• Implement IBM maintenance, PTFs, APARs, and software upgrades.
• Support disaster recovery testing and business continuity initiatives.
• Maintain system security in collaboration with RACF administrators.
• Support automation and scheduling solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standards.
• Work with vendors (IBM and third‑party suppliers) to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in on‑call support and major incident management.
