Job summary

Palmer in Madrid is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead the Loan Agency team. You will manage a portfolio of mandates, strengthen client relationships and ensure regulatory compliance across Spanish and European operations.

You will work with senior management to deliver outstanding service while developing the team, driving growth, and expanding the loan agency service line in Spain.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in loan agency, corporate trust or debt capital markets administration.
• Strong knowledge of syndicated loan documentation (LMA standards).
• Experience in client-facing or relationship management roles within financial services.
• Experience developing junior team members.
• Degree educated in Finance, Law, Business or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of loan agency clients, including borrowers, arrangers and lenders.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
• Coordinate client onboarding, including KYC/AML, account opening and system setup.
• Oversee day-to-day loan agency operations across syndicated and bilateral loans.
• Ensure accurate processing of transactions per facility documentation and reports.
