Job summary

Playson seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to own regulatory and commercial matters across markets. You will lead due diligence, draft and close complex agreements, and shape governance frameworks while advising senior leadership.

Collaborate with Compliance, Product, and Business teams to balance legal risk with growth in a fast-paced, international environment. Remote-friendly with global exposure.

Qualifications

• LLB or LLM or equivalent law degree.
• 3+ years PQE with 2+ years in iGaming.
• Ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional regulatory frameworks.
• Strong drafting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead jurisdictional due diligence across licensed markets and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Draft, negotiate, and close complex commercial agreements.
• Architect and maintain corporate-governance frameworks for leadership guidance.
• Partner with Compliance, Product, and Business units to align legal insights with commercial roadmaps.
• Monitor evolving regulation and translate insights into actionable guidance for the executive team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel with solid B2B iGaming experience to join Playson’s Legal Team.

This is a high-ownership role with broad exposure across the business. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, supporting commercial activity, regulatory matters, governance, and day-to-day legal decision-making across multiple markets.

The role will suit someone who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced international environment, can balance legal risk with commercial priorities, and is confident taking ownership of complex matters from initial review through to resolution. You’ll have the opportunity to directly influence how Playson approaches legal and regulatory challenges as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead jurisdictional due diligence programs across our licensed markets, ensuring end-to-end regulatory alignment and proactive risk mitigation.

• Draft, negotiate, and close complex commercial agreements, securing optimal terms while safeguarding the group’s legal position.

• Architect and maintain corporate-governance frameworks, advising leadership on strategic risk and policy optimisation.

• Partner with Compliance, Product, and Business verticals to align legal insights with commercial objectives and product roadmaps.

• Monitor and interpret evolving regulation, trends, and best practice, translating insights into actionable guidance for the executive team.

• Provide ad-hoc counsel on emerging matters to enable rapid, compliant decision-making.

Requirements:

• LLB / LLM (or equivalent).

• 3+ years PQE, including 2+ years in iGaming (must have).

• Proven ability to navigate multi-jurisdictional frameworks and deliver practical, business-centric solutions.

• Excellence in contract drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder communication.

• Meticulous, proactive, and results-driven with strong organisational skills and ethical standards.
