Job summary

CHAMP Cargosystems is seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to provide technical leadership across development teams in Spain and flexible roles across Europe. The role emphasizes clean coding, design patterns, and integration of complex systems using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL databases.

You will collaborate with PMs, POs, and analysts to deliver scalable solutions, mentor junior developers, and contribute to system migrations and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years hands-on Java development experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Lead Developer or Technical Lead role.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight, leadership, and mentorship to development teams; ensure adherence to software engineering standards and code quality practices.
• Translate design specifications into clean, maintainable code across analysis, design, programming, testing, and support.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Product Owners, Team Leads, Business Analysts, and Technical Support to deliver integrated solutions and resolve issues.
• Champion code quality, perform unit tests, and prepare thorough technical project documentation.
• Participate in system migration planning and provide on-site or off-site production support.
• Ensure status reports reflect active programs, updates, and technical issues.
