SoftServe in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, seeks a Lead Java Developer to drive technical strategy and oversee the development team. The role involves hands-on coding, architecture ownership, and collaboration with the Product Owner to refine the backlog.

You will ensure architectural integrity, enforce best practices, and support continuous deployment with rigorous testing. English and Spanish are required for client communication.

Formación

• > 5+ years in Java development with complex business logic.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Maven and Spring (IoC, MVC, Data, Security, Spring Boot).
• Experience with JPA/Hibernate and databases like MariaDB/PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Familiar with testing tools (JUnit, JMeter) and code coverage tools (JaCoCo).
• API-first approach using OpenAPI and API governance.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee technical aspects of the product and drive strategic initiatives.
• Lead and manage the technical development team as the primary technical authority.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to define and prioritise technical backlog.
• Ensure architectural adherence and technical excellence.
• Engage in hands-on coding to address complex issues.
• Mentor team members on best practices and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate deployment and ensure smooth production performance.
